We just acquired a Gerber Parabellum Knife with Original and early dual position sheath. Becoming one of the hardest knives to find especially in unused condition is the Gerber Parabellum with the early sheath. This knife was made by Gerber from 1987 – 1994 and has since been discontinued. Very stout and highly over-engineered knife was designed to be carried in either the folder or open position. The sheath likewise was made to carry the knife in either position. This one has been pre-owned and does NOT come with the original box, but we did include the paperwork that came with each knife instructing the owner on the closed or open carry. The knife itself has not been used and retains the original factory edge, has NOT been sharpened and the blade is free of any spots or scratches. Likewise the handle remains in its original as issued condition. Sheath is also in near mint to mint condition with no fraying or damage. This sheath is an early make, as it features the Bianchi clips on the back; as time went on, Gerber removed the clips and eventually offered only a pouch sheath, that did not fold out to provide open carry. Black snap on closure flap is in excellent condition, again signifying the sheath saw no use as the finish wear quickly with any type of use or handling. I would assume this knife spent most of its life in storage.
