Wow, we just received a NIB Gerber Guardian II knife. This knife is just Dead Mint, Sheath, Knife, Paperwork included as well as the plastic bag and foam packing, looks like it just left the factory, even the box is in excellent shape. Made by Gerber from 1981 – 1985 and then discontinued, it was a spin off from the Mark II with a different style handle. This knife features the Loveless logo as Bob Loveless was instrumental in the design. The knife shows no signs of ever benn inserted into the sheath as there are no ” sheath throat” nicks. Serial number on the knife – #B3252S matches the box with an original price tag of $59.50, ( sure wish they could be bought for that now) A true piece of Gerber History when they were making some real nice tactical knives. A very hard to find in this condition; Gerber Guardian II knife that has resisted temptation to use it or at the least insert it into the sheath. Button on sheath strap shows full paint and the GI wires retain full coating. NOTE: the cloudiness you see on the blade is a protective coating that was placed on the blade to ensure no rust – Renaissance Wax. If you are a true Gerber Collector and want a MINT Guardian II then you need to look closely at this one.
