Pictured is a Gerber Mark II Knife ( #096118) Mfg in 1980. Knife is in Mint Unused Condition has never been sharpened. Both Blade and Handle are 100%. Sheath back then was all black leather. Sheath is properly marked and is also in mint condition. In addition and rarely found is the original paperwork and plastic insert bag. All original tie down laces are in place. This knife was bought and put away, and the blade was not stored in the sheath allowing it to appear new from factory. Since in our procession the blade has been covered with Reniaccance wax and stored like that while totally stored out of the sheath. Very fine example of an early Mark II knife before they converted over to the all Corduar sheath. If you have followed the Mark II era of knives that were made you know the early ones, before Fiskas bought Gerber were top quality and true collectors items. Hard to find the early ones that were properly taken care of and the bladed stored outside the sheath, maintained in the properly serial #’ed heavy box before they make them in a much lighter and less supportive container. In addition and as mentioned this comes complete with paperwork and plastic bag. The sheath and knife are totally mint condition with no signs of any use or improper storage. Update – Even the lower box contains the original foam shipping which once again shows and proves this knife was never updated with or messed with during the day it was shipped from Gerber – 39 years ago!!
