You rarely find a nice original Gerber Mark II made in 1973 (#029930) that has never been used, carried or sharpened and I doubt it was ever been placed in the sheath except maybe when shipped from Gerber. Wow, most were still being sent to service men as the Vietnam war was about over. This knife is dead MINT condition as is the sheath / all stitching in tact. No paint loss on the handle. no pitting or scratches on the blade. All leather tie downs are in place and are correct. Serrations are small and overall I cannot find one issue on the knife or sheath. We try to list only the best condition items we can find and I must say as time moves on, it becomes very hard to fins a knife that was made 46 years ago is still in this level of condition, rarely available like this. If you are serious about investing in one this condition, then I suggest you take a look and remember they stay in this condition because of the proper storage one took to insure it stayed original, you put proper oil or protection on the blade, and do NOT store the blade in the sheath. I have seen many unused knifes that were stored in the sheath only to rot the blade due to the leather chemical processing.
