We just found this Gerber Gator (Military Issue). These Gerber Gators(#26079) with a partial serrated blade were made in Portland USA and were part of a GSA contract issue for Military use. They are properly marked – Portland USA on one side and the famous sword in stone on the other. The Gerber Gator Sword in Stone logo has been replaced with the sword in shield, noting the age and Mfg. difference between the older manufactured knife.

The Gator features an 8 1/2 inch long Blade when open and weighs 5.4 oz. The handle is glass-filled nylon designed for longtime durability. The knife features a 420 HC surgical stainless steel blade and breakthrough Gator textured grip handle, giving comfort and great feel. The grip is designed to ffer the maximum grip in wet or dry conditions.

These are great knives to put away in your collection or add one to your “Go Bag”. Either way, if it is good enough for our Military, it should stand up to your tasks. NOTE: The box is marked GSA indicating it was designed for Government Use. This knife is Dead Mint – Never Used Carried or Sharpened.
