GERBER BENCH MARK – STAINLESS STEEL – SOS (#20153) SERRATED KNIFE
We have just received a New In Box Gerber / Bench Mark Stainless Steel (partial serrated) SOS knife. Bench Mark was bought by Gerber back in early 1986, hence the Bench Mark name on the box along with Gerber. These knives were made by Gerber from 1968 – 1988 and have since been discontinued. This knife remains in MINT condition as is the box which is rare to find one this old that has not been subject to storage / handling issues, or the knife someone decided to try and sharpen.
This is an very early knife as it still retains both the Bench Mark and smaller Gerber logo on the box. The knife is marked Bench Mark USA. – definitely a nice rare find and transition Bench Mark / Gerber SOS knife. Later SOS knives would be packaged in the standard orange and white Gerber boxes, and the Bench Mark name would be totally eliminated. These knives were designed for multi-purpose with a knife and bolt cut-out in the handle – great for a tackle box or emergency/survival knife.
This knife is in MINT condition as is the box, never used, carried or sharpened. It comes complete with foam and plastic knife bag.
